Good ersults your getting..

Do you find you have to run much less timing with the 95??

I like the huge rush of torque coming on as well, however with a stock bottom end I'm not going to risk doing a motor....yet.

Mods are:

ASE front mount intercooler

38# injectors

SMB 4" dump pipe and SMB 4" cat - stock exhaust from cat back

Totally stock MkII engine

Mal Wood Stage 3 clutch kit to handle extra power/torque.

Yeah, very nice mate. You got me thinking now. It's tempting to go the whole hog when the Wog visits Canberra and get the full on 'mad' map, but then again, like you, I certainly don't want my motor to die (especially as it's our only car!). :spoton:

I guess I can have the mad map as a 'reserve' (for special occasions!) and use DW's 95RON tune for everyday use. :spoton:

I guessed it could have been from a previous tune.

I am about to edit and also was interested in the more conservative tunes.

I have always run with 98 RON fuel either Mobil or Shell. So it was interesting to hear that you obtained shuch good results on 95 RON.

The 3 edit tunes I was thinking of are,

98 Power

98 Economy

95 Power

I don't know if there would be much if any difference between the 3, has anyone tried these sort of tunes?

Regards Colin

you would be suprised how many customers actully cant use 98 fuels, alot of my customers have come from out of town aswell and only have 95... auto T's with 95 ron will make around 235's at the tyres. F6's with 95 and a set of injectors will run into the 270 's with stock everything else.

Dyno sheets attached. I made sure the dyno was run in 6F mode. Apparently Turboed sixes need to be run in this shootout mode.....

F6 Ute- timing adjustments were nominal over the factory calibration. One table in particular did require some attention however.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

There should be some difference between the 95 and 98 octane fuels if the car is tuned for each type of fuel. I havent pushed the limit with either fuel yet - but it's something I'll look at with Barry from Ford Performance Tuning in the next few weeks.

Basically each graph overlays the before and after result of the tune, showing AFR (fuel mixtures), tractive effort (pulling power) and boost pressure.

The red lines indicate the before result, the blue the after results.
