Recently I've been running the car on Caltex Vortex 95 (Vortex 98 is not available in WA) as I felt BP Ultimate was not worth the extra money, nor do think the quality of the fuel is there either. As a base run the car put down 246.0rwkw with an untested 10 psi program I had. AFR's were a bit rough for my liking, and boost dropped off from 10.5psi to 9 psi over 4000rpm.After a few tweaks with the software power is now up to 279.4rwkw, running 11.5 psi (+/- 0.25 psi) from 3500rpm, and an AFR of around 12 flat. Power comes in very smooth as there is no initial boost surge and boost holds level throughout the rev range. I have serious reservations about tunes that run heaps of boost as the turbo spools up (such as 18 - 20psi spikes @ 3000 - 3500rpm), as they can bent/twist rods easily. I'd rather build the boost up for the top end rather than peak it mid-range and taper it off top end. Each to their own however....So all-in-all, the car went in for a touchup and came out with 33rwkw more by adding a little more fuel in the midrange and stabilizing the boost. All that while using Caltex / Woolworths 95 ron fuel. Will post dyno results including AFR's tomorrow as I don't have my scanner here.

I like the sound of power coming on smoothly with no sudden boost kick, but I also like the idea of bags of torque low down (I reckon that mine, despite a huge rush after about 3000rpm, feels relatively slow off the mark and could do with a fair amount more torque earlier in the piece). Guess it's a bit of a trade-off, huh?

Probably comparatively little compared to you Turbs Chaps

I think what he is saying is this is what I get being conservative with 95.

I have tuned it to 449rwhp in the past running 15psi on Ultimate 98.
