I believe (dont qoute me!!) that the limiter is lower in first than in the other gears. my utes will take of fine but once it hits full boost (around 40kph) it starts spinning and will keep spinning until u back off...and now that the trans is beefed uo it will keeps spinning when u click second gear....its pretty good fun. will hafate take you for a spin in it.. far canal, 300kw @ treads + 800nm + hangover + wetroads has gotta make life interesting haha. You will defo have to take me for a lap when we meet up to hear your exhaust etc.So where you say it keeps spinning until you back off - do you mean it reaches 6000rpm or whatever the limiter should and stays there without dying in the a55??? Its just f'n annoying when flicking it sideways and you hit the limiter and it just dies like a sack of crap grr!! Some I have spoke to about this mod have no frigging idea about cars whatso ever. I had to put up witha spiel about turbos for 20 minutes from this exhaust guy in Balcatta. He knew absolutely nothing about the XR6T and wouldnt listen to anything I said. Same with a guy in Belmont........fkcuing incredible. I have now found new wisdom from these exhaust clowns:1. Removing the centre muffler will not change the sound of the car as the rear muffler does this.2. The ford computer will need to be re-tuned after the mod as the ECU is not a self learning system like the fully rad sick cool unreal LS1 engines. 3. I should buy a cat back 3 inch system as this flows more than the 2 standard pipes and will make some noise unlike removing the centre muffler. 4. I should drink carlton cold as this is good beer.5. I should buy some C4 and blow the clowns up and use there dead bodies to burley up some yabbies when I go visit my mates farm this weekend. The only correct thing above is point 5. Seriously........why dont people just stop and listen???? maybe they might learn something.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>whoa!!! breath deep my friend.....oh and as for point #4 carlton cold aint a bad drop..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Carlton Cold - A good drop??!!!! I thought it was a single system standard.I have had exhaust places say "Go a 3" system" but wouldnt my twin pipes flow more air?Can I still do the middle exhaust mod?Just slap me if I sound like I have no idea coz I dont. All I want is it to sound good.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>twin system as stock yep..you can most definatly take the centre mufflers out mate, it'll sound great!! I have had my xr bouncing off the limiter quite happily, I think it depends on what the car is doing at the time and what it was doing just before it limits. I have also experienced the brick wall revving out in first but spinning the wheels it bounces off nicely.
