If you want it loud (but legal) put in 2 hotdogs. It will void your exhaust warranty yes.

I thought it was a single system standard.I have had exhaust places say "Go a 3" system" but wouldnt my twin pipes flow more air?Can I still do the middle exhaust mod?Just slap me if I sound like I have no idea coz I dont. All I want is it to sound good.75mm to the cat2 x 56mm cat backResiticted to under 50mm through the certre muffler and same again at the rear

I'm just over exhaust clowns that are only used to putting fully sick sports exhausts on gemini's!!!! Ok deep breath again!!!!!! If the centre muff is restricted to under 50mm, surely replacing it with hotdogs or pipes is going to free it up slightly as well as make more sound. I highly doubt that removing it will make the car worse like some exhaust clowns have tried to tell me. I'm going to give up on this until I move to another state. wippdaddy Member 41 Member For: 19y 3m 22d Posted 09/11/05 05:25 AM Share Posted 09/11/05 05:25 AM The exhaust place I went to also said put in a 3inch straight through and only gave me blank looks when I said this would be more restrictive then the standard dual system. What size twin pipes are people repalcing their centre muffler with, 2.25 or 2.5?

I found an exhaust dude that just sat back and listened to me!!!! He has put straight through pipes on the xr's before though, even na's but he's not a fan of the drone at all.......though he did have a thumping big V8 as his daily driver. He really didnt even have an opinion, just said he'd do whatever I asked (to my exhaust that is.....car exhaust!!). So I'll probably do this soonish (when I can run it in from work!!!) and get back to you Perth lads. Cheers.
