I have a lot of mates with S15s and they love to take it up to the WRXs, basically by mid way through 3rd gear they have caught up to the AWD launch and from then on murder them. I think the fact that we are even debating what is quicker to 100 kays shows that the Falcon is a much much quicker car.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yes, but as mentioned, cars have to go around corners too, with the DSC lacking on FPV, maybe the evo or STI will snatch it, but that begs the question, Will the XR6T with DSC in an Auto form have a good chance????? So it wont make a difference. They will have the straight line to compete at BFYB, however until they turn corners they will lose to more cars then just the AWD rice rockets. "STI "5.4 to 100kph" I think that would put it line ball with the evo to 400m??I also think the Foon will crack a high 13 pass considering Motor can hardly ever replicate factory claimed performace figures- Of which FPV have made none regarding the foon, there marketing guy wouldn't even tell us at the launch. There's a lot of work to pull down 1/2 a second on the drag strip, I think they will all be very evenly matched, but watch the foon munch them for in-gear acceleration, and the pocket rockets blow it off at the bends. I still say it'll be a fairly good, close contest for once..edit, just read your post again.. Flat 13's is exceptionally quick for a factory car, and E9 or STI wouldn't have a chance at it. My 12.90 run was with a 0-60mph of 4.32 seconds, and my top end wallops an STI's. Granted it takes only minor changes to E9 & STI to extract those kind of times.. MOTOR predicted the new 2.5ltr STi will run a 13.4 which I wouldnt doubt since the US STi has run 13.1 stock and it is rated @ 224kw and pushes 14.5psi stock boost pressure. Funny enough reading the aussie 2.5 article it also pushes out 14.5psi. Makes me think the aussie model is under rated. Added to my belief on it, Even with a broken engine mount the Aus STi run 13.6 @ some 168km/h (something like that) That trap speed is almost identical to the US STi @ 224kw but slower ET because of not being able to launch as hard or bang through the gears...BFYB is ages away anyways... Will have to wait and see. Of course I am biased, but I tip the 2.5ltr STi to keep the BFYB title for Subaru...

It's probably my next car!!.. As for the STI, well yes it's nice.. and it's only saving grace is the exhaust note. Other than that, I honestly think it's rein is over..
