Just for your info! Checked all clamps and hoses, all as tight! Appears the noise is caused by a bolt that attaches the support rod to the turbo couldn't stand the heat and abandoned ship. Replaced bolt fixed!

Mate replace it, you dont need to get underneathy, remove the air inlet pipe from cross over to turbo, including the rubber part that the inlet goes into, the if the crimping part of the clamp isnt facing forward, gently tap the clamp down the hose till it comes off the turbo.. then pull down on the pipe and replace the clamp.. takes about 4 minutes.

All I can say is that your concept of time and mine must be worlds apart mate!! 4 minute job my big hairy :blink:

I got it done, but to say it was a complete fukcer of a job is an understatement! :gooff: Thanks for your advice though Simon, much appreciated, and there's no way I woulda got it done at all without your help.

BTW, you were right, Ford had put the clamp on so that the bits to hold onto were right at the back behind the turbo and just about bloody impossible to get to. :nono:
