For the life of me I still do not understand what an edit is, I feel like the only virgin in a group of guys talking about sex.

Checked all hoses and all are intact and tight! No noise with factory tune, 8psi tune noise returns.

Any more suggestion ie: weak BOV etc?

get a custom tune if you can, anyone who's done a few will know all the little traps.

The 8PSI and 10 PSI maps arent as "Plug and Play" as some would have you believe.

P.S No disrepect to the EDIT it's the best bit of performance gear you can get at the moment IMO.

Problem is we don't have tuners in Newcastle that have the software for the CAPA edit. :msm:

Looks like a trip to sydney is in order Daz (Lightning.....)

Well worth the certainty that you'll get from a custom tune, you'll KNOW it's spot on! :spoton:

Kimberley

Basically an Edit is the reprogramming of the Engine Control Unit (ECU), which is the computer that controls the engine tune and auto gearbox functions.

What it means is that as standard the turbo boost is limited by the computer to about 5-6psi boost. By Editing (changing) the details within the computer, boost can be increase to about 12psi (or something in between) even on non modified cars.

Therefore, having an Edit performed - or even better - a Custome Tune (Custom Edit) you can get really good power increases and drivability without serious mods to the car.

Simple mods like a Cold Air Intake (CAI) and after market air filter and custom tune will give you around 300kw +++ at the flywheel.

Forget the chip man - go and get edited :spoton:

Other pipe to check is the bottom pipe from the turbo. It has silver heat shielding on it. You will have to get under the car and change the spring clamp.

Heaps of people that upgrades their clamps seem to forget this one as its a little harder to get too.

all it can be is a pipes come loose..... its the most common problem ive seen ppl have, when I do any Turbo falcons now as part of my tuning I replace the hose clamp under the turbo with a FOrd PN Turbo clamp aswell as the one going to the top cross over from the intercooler. Has to be done..  :spoton:

Okay guys, quick question for you two. How often have you heard of the bottom clamp popping off? Reason I ask is that my top clamp gave up the ghost the other day and I have since replaced it with a super heavy duty MF that'll probably see the piping rip before it pops off! I was considering doing the one underneath too, but have been told that this very rarely pops off, so I'd thought I'd save myself the hassle of trying to crawl underneath my (lowered) T. :spit:

Am I just being lazy or do you REALLY think it's a necessary 'mod' with increased boost? :spoton:

After reinstalling factory tune everythings appear to be normal! Only noise from under the bonnett is a sweet whistle from the turbo!

What sort of clamps are you (and others) using for the crossover pipe and where do you get them from?
