Till the other day!It was wet, I gave it a bit off the mark and didn't respond well. It ran very rough I think it may have overboosted. ABS/TC kicked in, as in it did spin much and I could hear the ABS unit going off! After this had happened power overall was reduced to about half way between factory and 8psi tune. During bit harder than normal acceleration a strange noise comes from under the bonnett. It sounds like something scrapping or air escaping and there is a noticable reduction in performance.I reinstalled the factory tune expecting to take it to Ford, noise gone.Any ideas? You might find one popped off with the extra boost and scraping next to something. Has your power returned now its back to stock? When my car was edited they had to change the standard spring-loaded hose clamp on the intercooler pipe just below the battery which goes to the inlet manifold. The spluttering when the abs kicks in is normal I think. I think it has something to do with retarding the engine to stop the wheels from spinning.Kaine Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/20827-possible-problem-with-flash/#findComment-306873 Share on other sites

It has silver heat shielding on it. You will have to get under the car and change the spring clamp.Heaps of people that upgrades their clamps seem to forget this one as its a little harder to get too. Has to be done.. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/20827-possible-problem-with-flash/#findComment-306945 Share on other sites

Posted 20/10/05 01:10 AM Share Posted 20/10/05 01:10 AM get a custom tune if you can, anyone who's done a few will know all the little traps. The 8PSI and 10 PSI maps arent as "Plug and Play" as some would have you believe.P.S No disrepect to the EDIT it's the best bit of performance gear you can get at the moment IMO. What I can't under stand is that now I have the Factory tune in, why everthing is fine.If a hose had blown off, wouldn't it still be loosing pressure/power?
