I've also noticed the kits that the guy is selling on E-Bay....apparently he can do a kit without DVD player for $440.

Not sure if he'd be willing to do a group buy for cheaper ?

Would many be interested ?

I'd be interested in a group buy. Any one else interested?

With the additional inputs into the converter, it looks like I could still use the STB.

Yes I will get one very soon like next week

go to www.asllogistics.com full kit easy install @$570.00 all inc. includes dvd, rgb box, all looms and connectors, suppressors. plug in and play

cheers

fadi

that's sounds reasonable. Located in Braeside too which could work.

Unless I'm mistaken, the website you refer to stipulates that the screen is inoperative while the handbrake is off.  The item available on E-Bay allows the screen to be used whilst vehicle is in motion....legalities of this is another issue.

I'm sure the handbrake thing could be easily sorted with a small modification by someone who is knowledgable with electrics.

A lot of dvd players will do NTSC out as a menu setting...

I use an XBOX it's a much better option and you could hook up a basic setup for a lot less than $1500...

Or anyone that has read the Digi TV post and realises it's just a switch to earth that activites the screen.

Pretty darn easy, trust me :smilielol: mine has an ASL kit (self installed)
