I have Telstra Bigpond cable.

I think I get up to 512K download and don't know upload - don't really care that much either.

I have unlimited download/upload for $59.95 per month with speed dropped after 10Gb.

Have only ever had speed dropped once - even though I have exceeded the 10Gb a number of times.

Performance is good and quite reliable.

The three kids and I hammer the net constantly and all seems to run well

btw - ADSL 2 is nearly twice the speed but more expensive.

Hope this helps

Da King

Personally I am using TPG 512 plan and I am more than happy with them and I have been using them for about 5 years (including dialup). 20GB of download before it's capped but I haven't hit that yet though I have leeched a fair bit of the times. $49.95 per month but that's becuase I am in the bush. If it was in the City it would be $50 for 1500K with 25GB downloads.

In my humble opinion well worth at least a look.

Cheers,

Brendan :spoton:

Internode: HOME-1500-Pro $89.95 per/month, 1500k down / 256k up, 30 GBper/month, Shaped. :spoton:

Only service provider I've ever had that anwser's calls within 1min and a call back service that actualy works.

9 times out of 10 you go straight through and are talking to somebody who now's whats going on.

Not that I've had to use it very often though.

Whirlpool is definitely a great site.

Just don't get sucked into the super cheap services with a really small included limit that hit you hard when you exceed the included limits. You will end up with a rude shock at the end of the month. Excess charges can vary from $3/GB to $150/GB.

TPG 1.5Mb Unlimited $49.95 month

1500K Download (20G) / 256K Upload

Haven't managed to reach 20G in a month yet (and that's even with No. 1 son downloading music all the time)

No complaints with the service so far :spoton:
