Good photos and useful info Bugs, good one.  Could have cleaned up the engine bay a bit before the last phot though!!!

K&N fitted in mine sweet as per original, sure you are not pinching the gasket surround when putting the top on, which I have inadvertently done once?

I recall a few months ago that were not into modding the engine and playing it real cool with the mods suggestions - Edit, CAI, wheels, injectors.........give Wog a call he can do you a nice I/c.

Hope the family is bearing up well with the new addition.

Cleaned up the engine bay?! Mate, I hardly get time to wash the outside of the car these days, let alone the engine bay! :glad:

Nah, pretty sure it's in there okay. I heard K&Ns weren't too much of a problem, but the BMCs are somewhat thicker I understand. Oh well, it's in one way or another now!

Still following my old plan, no major mods at all. Exhaust will remain stock and there'll certainly be no injectors or ICs on the list. CAI and filter were the only other engine mods as the 'Phoon CAI looks pretty stock anyway and I'd hradly call a filter much of a mod. Edit is the only other engine performance mod, and once I get the Wogedit I'll be done. :spoton:

pretty much what I got in mind for mine,if it was phantom they may have been twins.

Spot on, therein lies the benefits of research to bridge the difference between information, knowledge and understanding....the game aint over yet could be both, might be Edit, could even return to Unichip...let the games begin.!

Bugster,

I did much the same with mine but my cuts nearly went off track because I don't have a mini-hacksaw - I had to hold the blade with my fingers so control was not as good. Luckily after the initial cut and them some sanding it fit nicely. I also had a bit of trouble getting the snorkel off so I could take the airbox out.

My thanks to Kaine too as I also used his pictures and measurements. Perhaps he should copyright it and make some money!!

I was looking for this part number as well. I am gonna get one of these. Does anyone in sydney know what dealer doesnt ask for a F6 VIN number to get this part?

Faygun,

I got mine from the dealer in Arncliffe, no questions asked. They are even open on Saturday's. Cost though was $94 which seems to be a bit more than some others are paying.

Turbomuz,

Also does anyone have the link to the instructions page for fitting the Typhoon CAI?

That's not it mate. You are thinking of the Rockdale dealership on Princes Hwy. You need to go a couple of kays further to Arncliffe, it's just off the Hwy at 12-28 Arncliffe Rd. Their number is 8577 4666, give em a call to make sure they have one in stock.
