just a thinker for you lawsy what happens whe you advance the exhaust cam to the pulses/preasure?

then apply this to effects on power, valve spring and etc!!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Let me be the first to be completely wrong....

I assume it would yield cleaner and more thorough evacutaion of gasses. If the exhaust vale is opend advanced, wouldn't there be less pressure on the valve hence valve spring because the gas does not completely fill the cylinder before making a hasyt exit? I also reckon being more efficient would leave less 'crap' in the cylinder for the next intake cycle, hence a cleaner burn?? But if you don't increse duration, will all the gasses be expelled??

Also, is there a slight chance a small amount of gas from the manifold will be 'pulsed' into the chamber from the early valve opening, or am I on the wrong side of the exhaust wheel????

Is that only the exhaust cam, or are both not moving?

If someone sorts out the VVT with Edit, the T will be off its nut, very fuel efficient and VERY powerfull :spit:

Yes we have done that for both BA and BF 'T's. In a spare slot we can give you back around 2- 3l/100km.

Yes its there, and yes we can manipulate the entire code segment of the computer

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

So how do you manipulate code that is stored on "Read Only Memory"???

I don't see why you cannot phase in a maximum power WOT table over the closed loop variation mentioned above.

Sure, it might be a little bit of a sudden jump in power when open loop comes into affect, but who cares? I'm sure you could smooth it out by phasing the ramp rate at certain RPM's to make this virtually unnoticable...

Surely this can be done? That would be ideal for most.

This would be similar to a mullet. Business at one point, party at another...

Get great fuel saving at say, <40% throttle and <2500rpm, then woosh... If you wanna save fuel, you shift below 2500rpm. If you wanna party, give it full throttle (even below 2500rpm) and it will boost up like any other Edited T.

I'm assuming that the only reason this isn't common practice is because its difficult to get right... Well, maybe its time some tuners started going down this path, don't you think?

bit of knowledge for you all there is no open loop cam control thus closed loop is the only mods you can choose!

explanation to long and not necesary atm as it is complex for the average joe!

l think you are right ZAP. And Ford absolutley do care about modding, this would be costing them millions a year in warranty claims, disputes etc.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It would be costing them nowhere near as much as the waranty claims on the shoddy build quality, get that under control and modding claims wont be an issue anyway.

Dazza.
