Posted 17/10/05 12:57 PM Author Share Posted 17/10/05 12:57 PM I'm keen to see what it does on the track too.I can tell you my tyres light up in first all the time, and often in 2nd if they are still cool. I imagine Craig / Rob / Dave etc would have more trouble with traction.Good fun eh Marcus.Fun indeed Luke, fun indeed. I just can't get enough of it. Eugene Member 670 Member For: 20y 4m 10d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle NSW Posted 18/10/05 03:10 AM Share Posted 18/10/05 03:10 AM As everyone here knows Nick is a very good friend of mine. So I'm not being critical just pointing out the facts. If tyres are letting go @ 120kmph in an edit only cars it's not the tune, it's sh*tty tyres. As for the other things about cant get that much power with stock bits that is still in dispute. Nicks cars still have a best time of 13.0 by Macka. Macka did have a lot of problems that night and the car had the potential to go quicker.Nick does have a lot of happy customers and that's the main point here. If people are happy then he's giving them what they have paid for. Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I am with you on the Tyre issue Craig, after running Very tired Dunnys for a while, it was dead set dangerous, dry or wet, now on som Conti's, not as much drama with traction, but there is more to a wog tune than meets the eye.Attached is a dyno sheet of mine, as most will know have been running an xede for a long time now, recently I got a edit from wog, complete with a couple of tunes he threw in with the intention of custom tuning when he is in sydney next.I then went to a local dyno to have AFR etc checked as it was to be about 6 weeks befroe wog could get to Sydney, and I didnt want to risk my car for that long if all wasnt good.there are four lines on the graph, two are with the xede inthe light green is my Warm exed map, it has run 290-293 rwkw on several different Dyno dynamic dyno's, on this day on this dyano it made 274rwkw. I ran it so I had a base line and knew what the car and dyno were doing. cars 3rd run after strapping it down and warming it up etcThe pink line was another xede map tune, much the same but way to rich, about 9.5 afr, I had played with that map and wanted to see what sort of diference changes made, it was the cars 4th run.I then removed the xede and flashed in a Wog tune, not custom tuned to my car, but one he wanted me to try and see if I had any drivability issue with differnt things, so if there was a drama, we could have it sorted before he came up and not waste time.the red line is what is called the skirt tune, we had to abort the run as AFR were too lean (13.5's at the start and didnt look like coming down) so I pulled him up and didnt run it again. the dip is where the car backfired, boost spiked and went funny, END of run.The dark green line is another one wog threw in for me to try, set up for a car with a APS pahse III, (no uni-chip), he had pulled out some timing and added fuel to be safe. Now while it didnt make the peak power the exed tune did, have a look at the torque, almost 25% more torque, have alook at the power graph, straight up.This I feel is why the wog cars FEEL so fast, lots of torque and abig hit of power early on.please read; these tunes have not been custom tuned to my car, they are a couple that nick thought would be close to try, my car at the time had the APS exhaust, my injectors, second CAI, and a K&N filter, running BP ultimate.I now have a Wog Cooler, man does it come on strong now, even the conti's strugle in the dry, wet is Scary.I will be getting tuned wed the 26th I hope, then of to WSID for some fun, if my MT's have arrived that is.
