Problems With Flash

Solenoid fault probably.

Well all people say that the solinoid should click once the tune goes in, this did not happen on any of the tunes that were put in.

Mine doesn't click on any of my maps and I definately have more than 205rwkws.

Well I have no idea what the problem is, its got me beat.

maybe time to trade it in and get a mk 2, dont know I willl see how it goes saturday after the chnage back to Standard piping, seems to be going a litle better since I swapped it back so I will see, its just at the moment I really want the edit

the solenoid only ever click's when boost control tables are switched off in favor for a dyno duty cycle function this is the open loop function or for ease of explaining does the same thing as a manual boost controller bleeding air off continually!!!

normally only used for testing purposes this is a helpful function!!!

no solinoid was clicking at all, even withthe duty cycle in. Dynowog has advised to clean out the solinoid or replace. I might get a Boost controller and connect that up. See if that helps

Its sounds purely like the solenoid issue because if it was anything else, a number of different things would be happening.

Firstly, the fact that the thing boosted with the bypass in, proves that the ECU is firing out the correct signals, which means that from a software point of view, everything is working correctly.

Secondly, if it was the ECU stuffing up, it wouldn't matter what you did; the ecu would be calling 3psi regardless.

Also, the fact that the generic tune also gave no boost increase also shows that it isn't, infact, a map function, but rather something mechanical.

My point? John did the right thing, so don't disrespect the tuner for doing the right thing (being, letting the customer know exactly whats going on, possibilities and the chance to get it right on another occasion).

johnis great so lets clear that up first.

thing is, the thing with the pipe off boosted like b**ch, so there is notproblem there. The flash seemed to work but just woulodnt boost, it changed the map and timing but the boost stayed the same.

So maybe its a solinoid problem I dont know, I cant take it back to ford and say look trired to edit it and it didnt work
