Hi ppls,

I can't really find anything solid on where the stock xr6 turbocharger begins to run out of efficiency with its stock .5 comp cover.

Do you tend to throw a slightly larger .6 or .7 comp cover on it to aid top end airflow or do you simply jump to a T66 type setup to make 400rwkw+?

What I'm really after is.....

What is the stock xr6 turbocharger good for in its stock setup. I.e no fiddling with comp covers? :D

Thanks ppls.

It is supposed to be good for 600 ponnies. But that would depend on alot of other things being done to the engine first.

The quickest T in Aus ran a 9.9 and still had the factory turbo fitted. Heaps of other mods though

600horses being roughly 340rwkw depending on the dyno of coarse.

Does this sound correct?

It would be excellent some one who has pushed the std turbo to around this power and what issues they had caused by the small comp cover. I.e excessively high inlet temps etc.

My turbo is completely untouched. With race fuel I'm running 385rwkw's and have been told that the turbo is at its limits. With this power I have run 10.68@128mph.

Geea. :glad:
