excellent let me know how u go mate!! im doing mine moday.

some pics on ANY mods u hafta do to make it fit would be awesome if possible, like exactly where u hafta grind and drill that hole they mention in the instructions.

cheers, Nathan

Firstly, let me say the pictures that go with the instructions are with the invoice!!

I was cursing and carrying on because I couldn't figure out where the brackets went. Then 3 hrs after I started, an hr of which I was sitting there looking at it, bumfuked, I found the pics with the invoice. ARGH!!

Unfortunately I didn't take pics of the process. I'll try and explain it best as I can, using the pics supplied (see attached).

Only the drivers side of the crossmember needs to be ground (grinded?).

You'll see the mounting hole that the original brackets mount to (looking down from above), about a quarter inch to the inside (right) of that hole, I ground roughly 2.5 inches long, and a quater inch deep. Then my grinder died... I was going to grind deeper, but as it happpens what I had done was perfect.

The brackets supplied use the mounting holes that the original brackets used. I ended up drilling new mounting holes about 1 inch further to the right as you look at it (passenger side).

All the holes I drilled I marked in red, in the pic.

The top right bracket, picture 1, I mounted in my hole as indicated. Then aligned the cooler, and worked out where the other brackets would have to go.

Picture 2, I drilled a new hole in the bracket to suit the new mounting point I made, to keep the cooler off the crossmember, and radiator.

Picture 4 shows the drivers side. I reversed the bracket to how it is shown in the pic and mounted it where the red mark shows. I had to bend the bracket to suit the new angle. The blue indicates, very roughly, the new mount/angle of the bracket.

I didn't use the 4th mount bracket. With the 3 brackets, it is VERY sturdy, and does not move at all. It has absolutley no play. I move the intercooler, the car moves. Good enough for me.

I hope all that makes sense, and is of use to someone. Once I found the picture's supplied, it was a reasonably easy process.

Goodluck with it.

great thanks!!

hows the power now???????

Great! Haven't had a retune or dyno run as yet, but yeah, feels much, much stronger.

And no more heat soak. The power is there EVERY TIME. Not just the first and second squirt.

Very happy with it.

"As you can see from the photos there wasn't a great deal of grinding to do, and I just loosened the power steering cooler clamps and slid the pipes towards the drivers side about 10mm. I also had to very carefully bend the lower air-con condenser fitting towards the passengers headlight, but it didn't look like it was in the right position to start with. I replaced the spring clamp on the lower cooler hose with a real one and relocated the horn under the drivers side headlight. I'm not sure where ASE put the horn (I didn't have instructions) but it seemed like as good a spot as any. I just had to make an extension wire."

thanks for that.. still cant seem to work out what to do with the steering cooler though.. it needs to be moved up or back inwards towards the air con condenser to make room for the intercooler but I cant see how to use the brackets that's been supplied!!

I got NFI and im ready to start throwin spanners...lol

hers a pic of the brackets that come with the kit that I THINK are for the power steering cooler.. im "presuming" these are for the steering cooler..

HELP!!!
