Hey guys, I'm bit of a novice when it comes to Turbo's and when I discoverd that so much more power can be extracted from a standard T with hardly much effort or money I was convinced.

From reading through this forum, I think the best and cheapest setup would probably be a CAPA flash tuner edit plus 42lb 25mm racetronix injectors. This would cost a total of about $1350 and I believe would achieve between 250 - 270 rwkw.

I have a few questions.

1 - Does a dealer actually install the edit and injectors for me, or do I have to install the edit and injectors myself?

2 - Will my Ford dealer know that I have an EDIT or different injectors?

3 - what other costs are invloved apart from the actual flash tuner box and injectors? e.g labour or more parts

Thanks for any repsonse.

Hi

1. if you are going to get injectors and the flash tuner you need to get it custom tunned. The tuner will install the injectors and should also gap the plugs an provide a custom tune, this should cost around $500-$600, you should make about 260RWKW

2. Ford will know you have different injectors

Hope that answers some of your questions

if your car is a 2004 onwards u shouldnt need valve springs till u hit about 300rwkw.

the earlier springs are pretty weak and lose out at about 250kw

yep, if you DEFINATELY wanna do the injectors then by all means do them. but everything u do after the custom tune, the edit will need re-tuning to take full advantage of the new mods.
