I've changed my tune *beep* Dunlops, grip is good but for the wear I get I might as well use R's.

Only found it by accident one day when I parked on full lock, might be something to check. The best the tyre dealer had seen was 68,000 from the dunlops. And no, there was no sedate driving involved and the I'm in brisbane.Went with the same dunlops SP3000a's as they did well the first time around. For $200 a corner, not bad value.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>No sedate driving!! I got 28000 from my first set, which I thoughty was pretty good (Liberty RX lasted < 20000 each time), and current set have done 22000 and are stuffed. I dont light em up at all - the fronts wear quicker than the rears. Plenty of hills driving (daily).

Who needs traction for that?I was looking at some www.yhi.com.au tyres. Dodgy as! I had a tyrepower guy recommend Nexen for what I want. I suppose I will have to update you in a few weeks after fitting them.Finer,I'm in the same boat. What are you going to replace them with? The SP9000 are pretty expensive ($550 ea)The Michelin PS2 are the best tyre going but $650 ea is the best I can find. The last thing I want is to buy a $250 tyre and hate the way the car drives.I'm thinking of using my spare so I only need to buy 3? Cheapskate I know <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

And seem to be lasting OK too! Should have elaborated a little more, the Falkens I have wrapped around my 18s are perfectly fine when stationery... move the car, particularly around twisty stuff and the bastards forget the idea of grip... worse still it's the front end that looses it... I run them at 42psi so if anyone has any suggestions that'd be good...Wet weather driving is a different story altogether... Which Falkens?? - I'm running the FK451's and I reckon theyre great The 326's and 115's are much cheaper but arent much good according to the tyre guys I use....??? I will just make it to 30K I think, that's ignoring the big cracks across the face of them and splits in the shoulder blocks. Terrible tyre, very noisey and not enough grip.I think it has a lot to do with the 2000kg they have to hold up and the 400HP at the fly.

The cracking is a known fault and tyres are replaced under warranty.Colin
