I think Craig was pushing hard early because he needed a gap for Evan. I don’t think Evan could have held a lead if he was put under pursuer by other cars, there for he would have needed a gap.

As for the Murph incident he has always been a tosser and always will be what a wanka.

The whole balaclava thing is a joke ok fair enough they should have been waring it, but the officials obviously knew there was a problem in pit lane with balaclavas for some time and they choose to make an example of a top running team at the most important race of the year I have lost faith in V8 racing, it’s a fu*ken joke!!

I don't think Luff had a balaclava on.. If he did and was told he wasn't wearing one, he would have done more than just look like a dumbf*ck and say, orrrr, here it is, it was in me pocket... dahhh.. He would have been furious, especially given race position. And given the fact the 3 other teammates weren't wearing one?? I was looking and didn't see anyone else not wearing a balclava..

We can say we should have won, we can say Murph was a tosser blah blah blah, but if the team had of followed safety rules like everyone else, they wouldn't have been holding that track position at that time of the race.

It was human error that cost Ford this year, the humans in control of the Fords', not the Holdens. Remember Ford only won Sandown because humans fcuked up Skaifes pit windows.....

On a side note.. How the hell can you watch a race between the two car manufactureers and NOT see a single advertisment for FORD or FPV.

I think the idea that Murphy would 'take out' Ambrose to protect Expensive Daewoo is ridiculous.

From the race teams (professional companies) point of view the main thing is for their team to win in order to get morer sponsorship money. I would say that the Ford vs Expensive Daewoo thing is a good marketing tool for them - but irrelevant in who they want to win a race. Meaning - Murphy wouldnt want any other team to win other than their own - he wouldnt purposefully destroy $500 - $1mill worth of race car and organisation to let another Expensive Daewoo win - that is ridiculous.

I have raced cars for 15 years or so - and understand how in the heat of the moment you can make a cock up - and punt someone else off the road by accident, even if he did intend to give him a tap - he wouldnt want to cause that kind of carnage - or he would never get another v8 drive ever again.

See the incident for what it was - a mistake or poor judgement call by Murphy, and unfortunate for the victim (Ambrose) - but to say that he was going to win is ridiculous - how far behind Skaife was he?

My favourite car in the race is the Ambrose Falcon - but you have to be realistic about these things. He got caught up in someone elses mistake.

As for the Balaclava - I agree - they should have just repremanded him at the end - not apply stop and gos - at worst, should have made him stop and put one on the first time. But... It is a safety thing - and professional race drivers should know better. I wear one when I race - dont have to, they are a pain in the bum - but it could save your face and lungs in the worst case scenario.

at the time of the incident he was about 5 seconds behind the leader, because they had just restarted. I think murph was upset because he maded a mistake coming out of the corner and rushed the next bit to get his nose in and stuffed it all up. (bad sport) you have to remember he would be sick of loosing to Ambrose day in day out.

I also feel they were set up about the balaclarvers.

People have got into fights just for people cutting each other off on the streets,I think Ambrose did well not to smack him in the gob,and then the arrogant f*** says Ambrose has an attitude, how would he know his always so far behind him probably the first time he`s met Ambrose face to face

As a devoted Ford owner and supporter, I'm completely gutted.

Lowndes did'nt need to go out as hard as he did and make an error by clipping the wall, he clearly had the pace to stay in front and in control of the race.  What a wasted opportunity.  AGAIN

I think the reason Lowndes went hard was first as stated before about alot of pressure being on the other driver and second to get a good lead time in front and then he could take it a bit easier towards the end,Though it wasn`t his fault the tyre went through his windscreen.

Question how do people think that Lowndes and marcus would have gone if they were in the same car, Both good drivers not afraid to put the foot down.

I think murphy was in the wrong here, he did make a mistake out of turn 2 and let ambrose get the run on him, the pass was all but done when ambrose had to turn left, murphy whined about racing room, but I think it was him that didnt give it to ambrose, he should have feathered the throttle and let him buy, there was still plenty of time to regain that position but instead he ruined his race and everyone elses.
