The car runs reasonably on LPG, but the owner has heard that the Trip Computer and/or ECU is supposed to fail after you've been running on LPG for a while. I imagine this is because the engine is obviously running, but isn't using any fuel, so it gets confused. Has anybody else heard of this happening, and does it sound plausible that running an unleaded car on LPG could actually break the Trip Computer? Personally I think it sounds like rubbish, and the owner should quit being such a tight-wad and buy an LPG-Only BA new.Any thoughts? Chris

Chris<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I have now fitted up 5 ba falcons not turbo's but standard ones with lpg systems that are made to all the australia standards and I can tell you this is not correct as the gas system uses it own computor that does take 2 signals from the vechiles ecu but it does not need to bend any siganals to operate. They drive all on gas and consuption is great to.Ian

I don't know who fitted up this Taxi or how it was done, so unfortunately I don't have any details other than that it was done in Brisbane. Based on that alone, I'm guessing it was probably installed wherever the Brisbane Taxi's get done.
