I looked at all these options when I decided to persue edit. But it was pretty clear that the only way to achieve the full potental was a custom tune.If your going to spend $995 then allow the extra $500 for the tune, I have. Posted 06/10/05 09:28 AM Share Posted 06/10/05 09:28 AM The 8 and 10psi tunes that come with the box won't hurt your car. They are conservative as to allow for the tolerances that Ford has. As has been metioned stock "T's" can vary a bit, 170-200rwkw's. If your car is starting from a low base then the gains will be greater than if you have a car that is one of the better ones.If you can afford it buy the box and get 3 custom tunes at the same time. This should cost around the $1500 mark. Get the tunes to suit your needs. A valet map, different octane maps, wife map race map. Choose which you need. The tuner is very important. A bad tuner will still give you a bad tune no matter how good the software. Not sure where you are, it's probably best to talk to a few of the guys in your area and if possible go for a few drives to actually experience different tuners tunes.Geea. By extreme I believe driving at 180kmph+ for prolong periods. This won't be relevant to most people but for those that would do this sort of driving upgrading the fuel pump could be an option. This isn't from my own experience. I have been told this and am passing it on.Geea.
