They are cheap here -but I would say the $5000 ones are older non turbo cars mainly. For a decent car still around 15 would be my guess. To be honest - I have followed a great huge bunch of 'boy racers' to see what they got up to - and most were pretty well behaved, lots of noise, but not much speeding or dangerous stuff. The biggest wheelie I saw anyone doing was from a Falcon ute!I ended up down at the riverbank carpark - and there would have been 200 or so cars, modded, standard, all sorts of stuff, with everyone just milling about - including a couple of cop cars keeping an eye on everything. I honestly didnt realise the scene was so big - and it is like it most Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays like that. All this is in Wellington, which is not an enormous city by any means

You are definitely NOT a Subaru wa*ker....just a good bloke that happens to live in an area where there is an increased number of oxygen thieves. Upon pulling up and asking the poeple what they were doing and why, they replied to you with something sensible to at least try to explain there actions, like. "Well we wanted to film some skids so we came out here so we didnt cause any annoyance or danger to pedestrians or other motorists." What would your reaction be, if of course you can answer such a scenario on a public forum.Dazza.

Redhawk ....Time to lay this fairytale aside...... Donating Members 2,657 Member For: 21y 9m 1d Gender: Male Location: In the Ferry on the River Styx, not getting out just yet! Posted 06/10/05 11:10 PM Share Posted 06/10/05 11:10 PM I think if the boys passed the 'attitude test' a reasonable officer would book them with something minor and point out to them that there are proper places to conduct this sort of 'fun'. Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 20y 9m 28d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 06/10/05 11:23 PM Share Posted 06/10/05 11:23 PM I would say that Plonky would look at the following:WRX riced up + young guys with beanies = Cavity search, impound of car and hopefully jail time I think that the fact they were videoing burnouts, they would have no choice but to throw the book at them, because if someone on say a motorbike came around the corner while this loose was out of control and took the biker out, it could kill them. You need to consider ALL possibilities and discourage this type of behaviour. There seems to be a lot of people practicing drifting on public roads, the problem with this is most cannot drive, let alone drift. We might view this video and laugh at the bad driving, but they have no regard for public safety.I have seen many videos of street racing and it is amazing how quickly fun turns to tears or tragedy
