Hi everyone. I have a important question for you all. My sister is very sick and has been that way on and off for two years. She suffers from severe migraines, vomiting, shakes, nausea and a long list of other things. This has been effecting her life in a major way and she has been to many doctors but they just don't have a clue what is wrong with her. She has spent a lot of money on medications and getting passed from GP to GP. I know she needs a specialist but you can't get to one unless you are referred to one by a GP. That is impossible to do if they don't know what is wrong in the first place. At the moment she is violently ill for the last 5 days with like mornig sickness and the shakes. The doctor thought she was pregnant but a blood test said she wasn't so they said it must just be a "virus" (GP talk for I don't know) but it isn't. She has been sick for too long. Doctors have also said they think she is suffering from depression and anxiety and just want to put her on anti depressants all the time. All these do is make her sick. She is really losing hope in finding a doctor to help as this is wrecking her life. She can't hold a job and her relationships are suffering and I am worried that if something like this goes untreated for long enough she may even die. Yes, that is how sick she gets. If anyone out there knows of a exceptional doctor that is genuinely interested in helping her and not get giving here anti depressants could you please respond here or email me at scott_tavener@yahoo.com.au Thanks.

Geez, reality check eh.... I don't 'spose she went overseas or anything prior to getting sick?? obvious stuff, but hey???

Good Luck.. :)

edit.. I used to get severve migranes and vomiting nausea etc etc.. I went for a deep tissue massage and back 'allignment' and haven't had one since.. Long shot, but it could be a pinched nerve or anything in there..

My Mum used to get migraines quite frequently, nausea etc. Turned out to be diet. She had to cut out yeast altogether (no more bread etc.), and a few other things. Had to go to a natropath to find out though.

might not help much at all hey... but while in year 11 and 12 I got mad crazy migrains, was in hospital for 3 days because of a migrain/nasal infection (dunno), but after I was out of yr 12 and no more schooling and into work, I didnt get any migrains at all...

any possibility that all this that is happening to your sister could be stress related?

(I know might be a long shot, but just thought id throw it out there as it could maybe help?)

good luck scotty and to your sister, hope she gets better extremely soon!
