No no...

The wires were all plugged in correctly to begin with. I thought I'd try to plug the component cables into the TV/Sat ports on the reciever, just incase the DVD/LD ports were fked. It still didn't work, but I forgot to switch them back.

I then took XRDreamings advice, and for obvious reasons (forgetting to switch cables back to original config) it didn't work.

10 minutes later I realised I forgot to switch the cables back to the DVD/LD ports, and it worked again.

Not like I plugged the component cables to the s-video ports (similar to Jetmirs lack of..nah it's too slack to say)..
