Just a thought, doesn't the second hand dealer have to provide some sort of warranty also?

If she bought a car second hand for over $10k it should be covered by a 3 month dealer warranty, it is their responsibility to fix the problem.

I am not sure what happens if the car is covered under a new car warranty as well, but you would think the dealer should look after their customer.

I hope she takes it to ford and they sort it out for her.

I think in that case zap it gets passed up the food chain, 2nd hand dealer fixes and gets credited from ford.

I have changed the suspension yet my dealer are still happy to even perform non waranty jobs and cover it under warranty.

I feel that it's the dealers decision what they cover under warranty.

My advice, try another dealer. But if FORD say the warranty is void then the warranty is void. If your lucky then a differnet ford dealer MAY do the work for you...hoping to get your future business.

I have found that if I give my dealer a bunch of things to check on every service then they generally will fix the issues under warranty.

Good luck
