Thanks for the welcome guy's, even though I kept looking over my shoulder to see where all the echo's were comiing from :spoton:.

I plan to be up there approx 17 Oct. I'll have a bit of a look around to find someplace to live and the rest of the family will follow when the Vic school year is completed.

Look forward to some cruises, beer, sandy beaches and more cruises, beer and sandy beaches with some work mixed in just for a reality check

So how many T are around the Caloundra area?

Sorry Wayne, you should have been a little more patient :tease:

Have'nt had any problems with the boy's in blue in Vic or NSW so I was hoping it would be the same in sunny Qld :spoton:

How big a IC are we likely to need?

Never mind - so were we!

It'll be great to see you up here in the premier state, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the sunny coast even though there are a few wierdos in the area

Macka..

I have to move out of my Waterfront (moreton bay) unit in Bris. to the Gold Coast on or around that date.

If you want to take over the lease is a perfect spot to wait for the family.. 20 mins from city centre...

PM for more details..........

Bring it up Macka.... don't lose it.

Just did the same thing about a month ago... I changed over from nsw and was charged $645, that was 1 year rego, 1 year ctp insurance and @ $20 change over fee state to state. Registry disposed of my old plates for me too.

If you want personalised plates, go to www.ppq.gov.au (I think), that's a one of payment, most expensive is around about $2200

Oh yeah.... a roadworthy certificate cost me $54

Good luck anyways.... see you in the area

My personal plates were $295.00

Hi guy's,

Looks like I'm off to QLD to live.  :tease:  :tease:  While I'm looking forward to moving, I need to make a decision about what to do with shakn.  :tease:

Should I put him in the market section or take him with me?

If I take it, how much would it cost and what do I have to do to change it over to QLD rego?

macka

Yeah, I'd sell it for sure. Bugger the depreciation, if you are saving the hassle of re-registering in a new State :tease:

Thanks for the offer Blonk :tease: another time and place I would consider your offer. I will be looking for something closer to Caloundra hopefully with some acreage for the nags.

Shaz a cruise sounds good to me :tease:

Ani,

its not the hassle of re-registering the ute but the hassle of the two other cars and getting them all up there as well. One has to go, shakn would give me a better return of beer tokens. The other don't have the the thrill factor though :tease:

I get your drift :tease:

Standard personal plates a bit over $300 now, with the premium plates a little over $2k.

Shazzy, you're OK on the STD IC 'cause, wait for it, you drive like a girl.
