I've cracked a fair few of them on my old car and one of this car, and you can buy them from Repco for cheaper than yo ucan get them from Ford.

They are made by Hella, and are an entire unit. Bit of a bitch to change as well, but not hard, just fidly.

I think the the Protectors looks sh*thouse, so I got some thick clear 3M sheets of tape. They are about 2 - 3mm thick, and all you do is stick them on the outside of the foglight.

From a distance you can't even see it, and I've never had a foglight crack since.

The front of my car is sandblasted from all the rocks trucks throw up at me too.

When ever I find my camera (it's in a box somewhere) I'll take some pics.

Edit:

Here is a pic of the front of my car, you can't see the tape around the foggies can ya?

I had to replace one. When I went to replace it I got the protectors put on. I drive on a freeway each day with coal trucks. They are always are loosing some of there load and hitting my car. Since I got the protecters on I had to replace them twice as well. But at least they are chearper.

Yeah, I cracked quite a few, I just leave them cracked and don't worry about it as they still work. I bought two for when I sell the car....

Actually the 3M clear rubber thingy is UV protected and also does not discolour. A wise investment at an Autobarn outlet for about $30.00. It has saved me many times from replacing my foggies.

If the lens is coming it can't be genuine.

The lens and the housing are one unit.

Hope this helps.

Just checked, lens is a genuine part, I'll have the part no. in the arvo..
