Actually the 3M clear rubber thingy is UV protected and also does not discolour. A wise investment at an Autobarn outlet for about $30.00. It has saved me many times from replacing my foggies.

That's the one! :spoton:

If the lens is coming it can't be genuine.

The lens and the housing are one unit.

Hope this helps.

Just checked, lens is a genuine part, I'll have the part no. in the arvo..

This is turning into an interesting thread. Cant wait to see if F6 UTE comes thru with a genuine part number for the lens only. Then again my money's with Mick.

If you can get a genuine lens only, I'll get that otherwise I'll remove the cracked fog light and turn the recess for it into ram air duct. Dont see much fog action when I drive so Id rather have cold air to the motor than fog lights.

I'm 100% sure you can't get the lense seperately.

It's entire unit is moulded and glued on really hard. I've tried to take one apart and had no luck.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Still not sure I'll even bother replacing the foglamp (it's only a crack and still works perfectly well), but I'll certainly be paying Autobarn a visit to get me some of that 3M gear. :tease:

The part number would be BA 15L200 A id be guessing, not with a 2.

The left hand side would be a BA 15L201 A at a long shot.

Dont take any of those numbers for gospel, im currently working at Subaru for a month!

I didnt think you could get the lens separately. :gooff:

I have a slightly different opinion. If You took the whole foglight out, or even just the lenses it obvious that it's made of few different materials. What we called a " unit" it was previously assembled into that unit. If it's not one piece, there must be the way to disassemble. I was watching some time before - how to repaint headlights inside on YouTube. And applied the same technique to open my cracked foglight as the Guys did to open Headlights. Heat. Only instead of oven I used heatgun to soften up the seals which are holding together all parts of foglight. Never thought of posting something here and don't have any pics of my job. But search YouTube, there is the whole detailed process how to open the headlights. I was searching how to DIY "Halo Rings" or "Angel Eyes" into my Ute. Back to the case.Having whole unit disassembled I cleaned and resprayed reflective backing with  "mirror efect or  mirror finish" spray can from Bunnings. Probably Rust-o-Leum product, then I sprayed just in case - "Engine Clear Top Coat"  - heat resistant clear coat from 'SuperCheap Auto" by "Duplicolor" Then I gave all cracked glass a really good clean followed by filling up with epoxy two pack glue also from "Bunnings" By "Selleys" - "Ultra Clear Araldite" product designed to glue glass together. Finally used "Dremel" polishing attachment to smooth out glued pieces and the surface of whole lenses glass. All parts of foglight glued together with the silicone and some "sika-flex" ( I had leftover from some job). When completely cured - It's save to install that back. Still plenty of product I used left. Estimating I can fix the same way at least 10 craked foglight lenses. But I already had all of those. Never had to buy anything. But I'm guessing - it's the cheapest option. Sticky tape or other quick fix solutions doesn't count for me. Like using "Play-Doh" to seal the gasket. ;)

Cheers Guys

Almost made it to eleven years, sweet.

I had to cover my foggies with contact film in order to enter a race on an airstrip.  I have left the black contact on there because I'm sick of seeing the cracked lenses.

Bought replacement foglights and also covers...I'll install them one day :)
