What pistons and rings is bcl running?

Ask Simon from Nizpro... he will be more than happy to speak to you about your plans for an engine re-build...

All of Brians work is being done through Nizpro... hot car by the way bcl... crazy stuff.

You can find them here

I doubt that Simon will divulge what I'm using, and I wouldn't expect him to.

As per earlier posts, the type of rods that are being made by companies like Rocket are good for around 600fwkw, or say 500rwkw.

I did have rods such as these in an earlier configuration, and I think we bent about 4 of these rods at over 500rwkw during a development stage; result being I went for far stronger rods. Pistons will not handle 600rwkw either; they were actually deformed when pulled out.

The other problem is that stroking the motor makes matter WORSE, if what you are after is big power; in other words go a stroker if you want better mid range torque and faster spool-up, and not if you're chasing big power.

Sorry bcl, I didn't mean for him to talk to Simon specifically about your car but to speak to him with regards to his own rebuild thinking that Simon would have a broad base of knowledge already from working on your car, but not actually divulging the specific's of your car...

Sorry for the misunderstanding...

I still haven't got my internals yet either I'm not fully conviced on the atomic bottom ends from what I've heard but I do think I'll get their rods still undecided on the pistons. What pistons and rings is bcl running?

Yeah, me too. Gonna buy a new block and crank and get an engine built locally. Probably just get the rods and pistons from Rocket Industries.

I'm interested in getting something built straight away if u want we should get 2 built at once then we might get a cheaper price on the rebuild. I can get all ford parts at cost I dunno how much discount thru rocket but I presume u should be able to get a reasonable price being in the industry

Not going to do it just yet as I am currently in the process of upgrading the fuel system to support more power.

Will contemplate doing a new engine Feb/Mar next year.
