X-force will be releasing a new exhaust for Cars with 280RWKW plus, it will be a 4inch dump off the turbo with 4 inch cat, then a single 3.5 system with either dual mufflers or single muffler out the back, should be ready in a few weeks and will be less then most of the complete systems out there.

the price of there 3inch system has dropped to $1250 installed and is good for stock cars, go to www.bestmufflers.com

More specifically RapidChris, take a look at http://www.bestmufflers.com/Information/Cu...yno_Results.htm

I gained 13rwkw with the 3" Xforce system, took a long time to develop the exhaust and it is a great product. The car will NOT go into limp mode due to this exhaust, and I have driven around with this system for a good 4 - 5 months with no problems what so ever (PS, I have to say, if you do go any free'er flowing then this system then as Ghea said, it will go into Limp. The Xforce system is just the right size). Further more, the Xforce system has potention to go up to approx 270rwkw if you later add a chip/edit etc and sounds great.

Freedy, are you in syd? If so and you want to hear what the 3.5" system sounds like, let me know and you can hear mine.

rapidchris, if you're really after more power from an exhaust, then I would strongly suggest you at least consider Edit. You say you've already done a SS CAI and K&N filter - I reckon you'd be more likely to void your warranty over those mods and your exhaust than you would by getting Edit. Remember, with Edit you can always flash back to the stock tune. Yes, apparently some Ford dealers may be able to pick that up, but not all, and it also depends on your relationship with your local dealer I think. :pinch:

Good luck anyway, and welcome to mod land!! :spoton:

He will eventually need unichip or edit in his car if he wants more power.

Rapidchris, from my testing, when the exhaust became too free flowing, boost started to spike and the standard computer dropped ther power (as shown in the below dyno graph represented by the red lines). The system tested was a 3" system with no cat (please note, the car was not driven on the street, it was purely taken off for the dyno, then the cat was replaced. The test was supposed to find if the std cat was a restriction which it was).

Ive never had my car overboost but not sure if that would trigger the engine light, I do remember playing with a honda intergra headers one day and forgot to plug the o2 sensor back in and that triggered a fault. Perhaps that could be your problem. Does the car feel down on power? Does the throttle feel sticky at points?
