The best engine Australia has produced, with performance and refinement on par with $150,000-plus Europeans. Works well with the auto. Taut, responsive handling. Compliant ride for a sports sedan. Powerful premium brakes. Efficient dash layout. Comfortable seats and driving position

The force-fed Falcon is impressive for several reasons, not least because it goes like the clappers. Try 240kW of power and, according to the Drive stopwatch, a 0-100kmh time of 6.4 seconds for the automatic.

That's comparable with a Porsche 911, and a second or so quicker than a 235kW Gen III V8-powered Commodore.

You would pick the auto every time. The test car was fitted with the five-speed manual gearbox, which in action was slow, vague and heavy, as was the clutch. On several occasions it didn't want to know about the 4-3 shift.

There's no difference in performance. In all but expert hands, the automatic is quicker.

Read and enjoy.... :)

The turbo Falcon is refined on interstate tours and tractable in traffic -- and it blows Holden's V8 away.

Love it! :D

"Nothing shoves you back in the seat quite like a turbo on full boost. Put your foot down and the Falcon six delivers rocket-like thrust from 2300rpm to 5900rpm"

Yeah! Just can't get enough :D Just can't wait :(
