Nang, Good idea but it would take a lot of boot space and I dont have a ported box anymore I have an open style box... See my topic on my new install ive got pics :D

IH8PORK, Do not underestimate the power of power! I had a heap of problems including fading bass, blurey no tone to it bass like what you describe all because of power problems one of them being earth. I would go out 2morrow and make your ground cable at absolute min thickness be 8 guage and no longer than 1m. If your amp is up the rear of the boot the best place is the big bolt holding the seat clip brackets grind it to expose the metal.

FAT-51X, can you please give us details of this $130 converter, have you got a web site with specs? Or a model number. Thanks.

Yep up against the rear seats... in the "smaller" gap in the boot

hey that's the same as the box me and the installer decided on.. except being 15's they would end up a little bit more forward and angled to face down more if that makes sense???

OK guys here it is... went to jbhifi and this is what I was told...

its a...

Stinger PERSVEN4

Four channel premium sound interfacing device.

adjustable RCA level or speaker level input or output. The SVEN4 is perfectly suited for replacing the factory amplified system and retaining the OEM radio or for Premium OEM head unit replacement.

Can also be used as a standard line output converter.

That was taken from the "Stinger" product catalogue for the sales guys at JB..

the guy said this will help get rid of major engine noise aswell.. which helps me out lots..

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Troy

Convert the high level audio signal to the speakers into a low level signal which can be used by amplifiers. Basically changes from speaker wire into RCAs.
