Is there something the mods can do to organise threads on the same questions that are asked over and over and over ??

I think I see a new thread every week on the same question from the week before some people need to learn to use the search button and we need special seactions setup for thing like :

intercoolers

injectors

re-gapping plugs

edit

companys that work on xr6 turbos

Just seems that this forum is filled with the same old questions week after week that have been answered so many times

I guess that's what makes this a forum, and not a library :spoton:

this forum would become obsolete if this was to happen.... what else is there to post about?? Its a car forum.

your right... all the topics have been covered... but each new thread brings a new twist, a new step or a new angle.... I for one find it interesting.... I dont come on here just to read over the same thread a million times. I would prefer to go over to a new thread and read the same information from a new perspective.

I just think that the forum might become too dull and boring if new threads did not pop up... I think that it might be worthwhile having a couple of sticky threads but other then that let the threads pop up.

not one to bag a great site... but the search function isnt the best in the world... I have been on this site for a long time and still cant find some threads.

If your a newbie, ask away.... dont be afraid to start a new thread... your questions will be answered or you will pointed to the right direction to find the information... that's why a forum is great??

my 2 cents.

I used the search feature for the first time the other day, I put in "engine oil coolers" in Mads and workshop, over 5000 results in .5 sec.

I am not whinging, but if the search feature could be set-up so you could only get threads with "exact phrase" for exmple, it may be used more, as it is, put in search for edit, and get ready for about 6803 responces.

The idea of having a section or "sticky" for Intercoolers, injectors etc is good, a newby could read in there, save alot of time and then ask questions that are more in depth and specific than which one is better edit or uni-chip, then the games begin.

I agree with what your saying, but a fine tune of the search feature would be good.

Not trying to say they cant post the same things up again and again but im sure if there was a section with Q&A's or the search worked alittle better the newbies would find the info they are looking for

I know all the threads is what makes the forum but the same threads over and over again also makes it boring
