Hey in regards to the shell fuel thing, I got told the same for my dirtbike. I run premium unleaded in it. The Shell optimax is apparently heavier (or denser) than other normal premium unleaded fuels, and apparently doesnt atomise properly in a carbureted engine. Apaprently also this is not a problem in a fuel injected engine as it doesnt have jets or anything. Dont take this as gospel, just something I picked up in my travels

I use vortex 98, pretty much because I cant tell the difference and its closer and usually cheaper.

I go for Vortex 98 also...

Have had bad experience with both BP fuel and Shell Optimax... It might have been where I got it from but I dont take the chance now..

Vortex 98 or V-Power racing if on the race tune.

Tuning cars, I've found best and consistant results with Mobile synergy 8000... And I also use boost98 with good results also.

I've also had inconsistancies with BP ultimate in the past, and never really gone back to it since.. Although People will argue they are exactly the same as the mobile 8000.. Although the distribution methods are different...

Vortex 98 isnt as 98 as the others are and have noticed peoples cars tend to ping with them

I think the servo has as much to do with it as the brand of fuel make sure you use big servo's with high turnover of fuel this keeps it fresh and if their making good money they don't need to sell you dodgey fuel
