And after just speaking with you Simon, the good news is in........... it was the installer's fault for my pinging issue - and it wasn't me! :stirthepot:

The tunes work a treat and let me just say, my Typhoon would absolutely eat my ute and hand back its arse on a plate. Now, I'm going looking for some LS2's.........or anything actually! :kissmy:

Guys that have had edit done, can you please check something for me - Simon is asleep and I don't want to wait to ask him.

When you turn your key to "ON" - not starting the car, does your wastegate solenoid make a clicking noise??

Thanks!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes mate, Its a normal feature that some tuners use to set up the wastegate solenoid. Mines been clicking for 10000 km, rest assured, its fine!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No mate, it's not a normal feature. Mine didn't do it when the car was running the standard program, neither does it with the 10 or 15 psi tune. Sounds like something is wrong.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I think you will find it was something set up with version 2 or 3 of Capa software. theres plenty of edited cars that click. in fact, Simons car has the latest SCT stuff in it and he still prefers to run it with a clicking solenoid. Depends on how the car has been set up.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No, it was never a program or software revision error, just lack of direction how to tune. It's now apparent after the training course which is the correct method to control boost.

gday mate. had a problem with my box, on 8psi map the solenoid made the clicking sound and 10 psi map was stuffed completely. sent it back to capa and problem with boyh maps was rectified, clicking has completely gone. :crybaby:

Thanks Jeff. Well, it does exactly what Simon's F6 does (XtremeF6) in his posted vids, destroys 2nd gear at part throttle......... and then tries to light up 3rd over imperfections in the road. Can't wait until the fine tuning is done! I am absolutely impressed with the absolute sheer grunt of this thing, awesome is the only word that comes to mind. Anyone around Brissie that wants to brave a ride in the passenger seat, just let me know!

I still haven't found any LS2's ...yet..........

 Car must be an absolute animal. In comparison even my lightly warmed over Phoon goes beserk from ~ 3700 - 6000rpm in second ,squirming and screeching the rears. The look on the faces of other motorists as you pass them @ 80ks absolutely priceless.

Took my girlfriend for a blockie when I got back from Melbourne and she was shaking when she got out saying repeatedly omg omg you've got rocks in your head. That from someone who loved a mid 12 sec T :spoton:

Todate only an SS has wanted to have a go since mods, where are the generals boys hiding??. Funny though, on the same roads in the T someone would want to run at least once a day , be they Holden, Ricers , Fords even Hyundais.

Go figure :pooh:
