I think im just confusing myself.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yes you are correct. The reason for the 10mm hole is to make the venting air sound better as there is a bit more back pressure. I even got to listen to his over the phone and I'm impressed, it sounds great. Thanks V8 FRD for putting me onto him.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>No worries mate, hope it works for ya

Unfortuntely though if the cops picked up on the this it is illegal I believe, but I doubt it would warrant them taking much action.Send him a PM and ask what his thoughts areIt's illegal alright LOL. You could always use the excuse that the hose fell off however I think it would be a good idea to plug the hose that you remove. So they would only have to look at it to realise what you have done.I'm keen on trying it but I would like to get some idea on whether it can cause any damage as I don't know whether guy that said the bov vent can suck air back in is right or wrong. I don't see how this could be the case as the same thing would be happening to any after market bov with a trumpet.Bain, it's the large return hose off the bov that goes back to the intake pipe. Just don't block off the pipe that goes from near the TB to the bov.So what about the APS , CAPPA bov's then fitted to ther kits?It blows under pressure so how can it suck air back in

At idle there is a slight vacuum.

At idle there is a slight vacuum. And is the bov open at idle NO , so can it suck air !it closes while the manifold is still under pressure due to the spring in thr bov. It wont make any difference to performance. I block off the plumb back line with a piece of 1 inch broom handle, then I join on a hose aquired from super cheap auto which is about 300 mm long moulded like a slight s bend and joined with a copper 3/4 inch plumbing joiner. This alows you to hide the blow off valve from the federal agents. As far as sucking in unfilted air, I can't see this happening because evan at idle there is some pressure in the intake from the tubo, but I would not swear to that, perhaps someone can help on that one. Anyway I can't see an after market one at $ 400 doing anything different. I can supply pics if requested.

I thought you would just leave it completely open for more sound or does it go a bit ricey?Mick.
