hehe nah I was going to but it from nuford but they wouldnt budge on price, so I went to one of their affiliated dealerships and got the same car for another $3K cheaper !!

do u work in Wangara mate?? I was there last weds night I think it was and a yellow ute that looked like yours came flogging down the street by nuford and turned left onto wanneroo road hahaha...  sounded sweet as for a 6 !!

if it was you what exhaust etc have you got ??

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That was me alright running late trying to get to the Plex .. as it was I was too late. :spoton:

That is a APC Exhaust… formerly D&T’s .

It consists of 3.5” Dump > to twin 3.5” Metal Cat Cat’s then> twin 3.5” Stainless through to the Mufflers> then 2.5” stainless to the resonator and out the back.

Before I had a STD system with just the one Defilipo cat changed out.

I dynod her before and after and was absolutely stunned by the difference! I drove it around the block to warm her up before the “after” dyno and she was way way different…so much more it was amazing.

Then dynod it and was stunned again when it went 48rwkws higher than the first run.

Boost shot up 4psi as well so it shows how these things Hit the wall without a good flowing system.

I had it custom made due to the design I wanted so it wasn’t cheap and the first of its type they have done, They are also stoked at the results… Stunned was more like it!!!

Hey nang3,

can you compare your 350z to the typhoon? I know in terms of performance the F6 will be much quicker but how did the 350z go? I love those 350z and I think they still go quite good.

faygun

hey buddy,

its a bit hard to tell performance wise at the moment, seeing as yeh ive only done 100kms or so.. but in overall refinement, the F6 wins hands down... it is so much quieter - both engine and road noise - and is overall a much more comfortable car.. not that the Z was terrible, but was definitely had sportscar like suspension and you could feel every bump. the F6 also feels a lot more sealed when you close the doors, a lot more solid maybe is the word..

probably the only downside so far is the difference in throttle response.. the Z had razor sharp throttle/pedal response whereas the F6 seems to take a bit longer to respond, although im sure this is just a function of the drive by wire software instead of the engine characteristics.. im sure I will get used to this though..

The F6 does feel faster even at this early stage but that also could be the whole turbo spooling up effect..

The Z had similar midgear pickup but the power delivery was very linear, to the point where it didnt really feel fast at all sometimes..

I should be able to make some more comparisons after a couple of days of driving, but so far im loving it and loving the black !!..

cheers

welcome to the wonderful world of turbo lag... but it is a great world cos once you boost it up 16psi + on those GT3540, its tyre frying as can been seen with the Xtreme F6 :msm:

Gezz someone buy my GT.. I wanna pick up my phoon!! its black too nang! :spoton:

nah I really dont think its turbo lag, just that the throttle is not as smooth as the Z in the inch of travel or so..

as it is at the moment, stock, it feels a LOT faster than my Z in every gear so with an edit/injectors/cai/exh etc it will be a f'n weapon !!!!!

dont know about you guys but IMO after driving stock for stock F6's and GT's, there is SFA lag in the F6.. it seemed to have way more bottom end than the BOSS motor which didnt seem to wakeup til about 4000rpm or something..
