Didnt you know XR6T's run on diesel?? Silly boy!!!

If you get the drill out you should be right......if your struggling for light get a match out....and if your stressed just have a smoke.

When in doubt refer to the manual??.....or even give your local ford dealership a call, they should be able to help, cos im just a useless $martar$e.

Have you jumped under and had a good look?? Good chance there is some sort of drain plug?? Did diesel go in and if so was it driven?? Ring ford and ask for advice......actually get the missus to do it and then she will definately not make that mistake again (if she is still alive).

hey man I ran mine on regular when I first go mine for 2 tanks the only difference was power it doent hurt the motor any but if your really worried go and buy some octane boost and stick it in your tank.

You haven't even opened the driver's handbook have you? Look in the glove compartment - it will be in a folder together with the service record booklet and all the warranty info. The time you've spent asking the Q here you could have found out in a minute by reference to the handbook.

Yeh, yeah, I know ... just another sm@rt@rse having a shot at you. But honestly, it IS right there in the book ... your car can safely run on regular unleaded.

as it states in my owners manual "XR6 Turbo can run 91 octance but for maximum performance use 95octane"

so yes unleaded can be used in your car, it just wont have much poke!

ford gave me a "full tank" of unleaded when I bought the car, was pretty sluggish so I just chucked in a bottle of octance booster and ive run it on premium or 98 ever since and it goes great!
