But we'll see I guess

Figured for $2k we could get the 18" wheels and side airbags. Our current car has leather and l could take it or leave it. A bit slippy when cornering hard, cold in winter, hot in summer. Get sick of rubbing leather conditioner in it too, but it does add a touch or class.
Guest DZ. Guests Posted 24/11/02 10:33 PM Share Posted 24/11/02 10:33 PM If I can find a way of not damaging the leather with the baby capsule, I'll probably go for that as the wife doesn't like the patterns on the cloth seats. Failing that, it will probably be plexis gray.I haven't voted yet while I try and figure out what it is that we'll get!
Superoo Member 340 Member For: 22y 2m Gender: Male Posted 24/11/02 11:07 PM Share Posted 24/11/02 11:07 PM Sounds familiar DZ.Not entirely sure about the leather (how hot will it get?/ongoing maintenance). My wife ain't wrapped in the cloth patterns but the Plexis Grey is not as overt as some of the other colours so that may get the nod.At this stage, still undecided. Anyone cornered in a BA with leather that can comment?

I've had leather seats before (the current Explorer has leather) and I'm not a mad fan. I like the Plexis Grey enough to go with that and spend the money elsewhere (did I mention I'm getting Sat Nav? <grin>).

This seems to be becoming a common theme here. Has the BA team got something wrong? Also not a great fan of leather - is there any other option? Guest DZ. Guests Posted 25/11/02 01:49 AM Share Posted 25/11/02 01:49 AM Actually, it's a funny thing about Australian "Sports Sedans". They've always got overtly loud (I believe women call it tacky) seat patterns. I'm not sure why that is, given that the sort of people that are buying the XR6T (my opinion anyway) are likely to want something with a bit more class rather than something overly loud. Guest XR6TBA Guests Posted 08/12/02 12:11 AM Share Posted 08/12/02 12:11 AM Didnt worry with leather. Have had leather before and you do sweat a lot in summer and slide around when cornering.

I think its great. The only thing i dont like is the fact that the coloured XR logo can only be in Red, Red and.... Red. They should make the logo the same colour as the car. Also wouldn't mind the logo being imprinted into the back seats as well..

I'm getting Plexis Grey: The XR6 logo is in Grey on darker trim. Looks great. You can get the XR6 logo in Red, Blue, Purple and Grey.
