Thanks for the tip about the maintanence though I wasnt aware they required such strict oil changes and what not. Price range is 5 grand I cant afford more than that so unfortunately a 426 is out my league for a little while. I was looking at some 250 but im a sucker for "bigger means better" and after taking both for a ride im sold on the 400.Thanks for your help Yammies are a great bike, just be careful however, the 426's and 400's are not big fans of water, and as already said they require strict service intervals otherwise you put your fate in your own hands. Reasonable suspension avg brakes but as an all rounder for the bush very consistent and reliable bike.You should pick up a well looked after one for $5k, just shop around. Make sure they are genuine. The average rear spring on jap bikes seem to be set up for 6ft,75kg (inc gear) riders, which represents about .000001% of the australian market. Check bike forums (dirtbikeworld.net.au) etc for the name/number of good suspension guys in your area. A good guy will watch u ride and look at where u ride and mod your bike accordingly. This will be by far the best money ever spent on a dirt bike, the 1st thing I would recommend is a bashplate. (B+B or whips) and rad braces and guards. If u havent ridden for a while you will definatly hit the deck. I ride a lot and used to race heaps, nothing cracks me up more than turning up to enduro (sometimes mx) and dusting guys on the latest and greatest on an ole dunger that has been set up to suit the way I ride. I ride with guy's who are previous and current nationaly ranked riders and im yet to see many riders who truely can out ride bikes like yours in every situation. Many of the mods I see on bikes are a waste of time in many situations other than a straigt line. So dont worry bout the straightline stuff cause 95% of what u will ride will be snot.ps: did u get the original pipe? if so try both back to back as the short pipes are heeps noisy and all top end, low to mid range is where u will want to be for the bush.
