this is a EOI about an email I just received from a mate.

I doubt anyone would give it a go or care less but anything is worth a try with the rising prices of petrol, and considering we are all petrol heads at heart, fuel runs in our blood. without it, we die!!!!!!!:rockon:

copy of email:

Subject: FW: 22nd September-no petrol day

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR BEHIND " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON THE GOVERNMENT TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF PETROL GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS

PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING,

BUILDING SUPPLIES MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO

EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE SEPTEMBER 22nd A DAY

THAT THE CITIZENS OF AUSTRALIA "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

whatchu think? :gooff:

If you really want to make your point just park across the entre to a local petrol station and block people out for a while. Get you vehicle inside on the private property of the service station and you've got every one by the balls, I'll explain.

If the vehicles on private property theres nothing a Council Ranger or Parking Officer can do. I repeat NOTHING. Their powers leave as soon as your off public land. Normal Cops wouldn't even know these days where to look for a offence code if its somthing like this. Even then its a civil matter having a vehicle on private property and a smart cop woudn't even respond to a job like this.

Step one,

Take the number plates off the vehicle and cover your rego sticker with tape this makes it very hard to book the vehicle as its now no longer on a public road it doesn't have to display rego and there is no offence for parking obstruction on private property. You can only be booked for obstruction on public land.

Step two,

If you can't get the vehicle you wish to make your point with onto there property, park it across the entree and let the air out of the wheels. In a pin book an officer (Ranger or Cop) must inspect to see if there is air in the wheels before ticketing the vehicle. This is a sure way to get out of a ticket for a parking related offence. An officer may still give the ticket (you'd be very very very unlucky) but it will get a section 10 in any court in Australia.

Step three,

Leave the vehicle and go get a beer. when a tow truck gets there its time to try the F'N petrol station next door.

Remamber Cops are the only people who could get you to move it. If you park the vehicle on property, police athority becomes even more questionable. At the very worst you may get a parking ticket  but that's only going to be around $75 and it'll take a cop an hour or two to find the offence code as they don't really do parking problems these days.

Just a thought, good luck.
