Lets face it if you want to realise the true potential of an edit, and who amongst us doesn't, your going to need some form of exhaust mod, bigger injectors, a bigger IC, gearbox mods and depending who you speak to, stiffer valve springs / wastegate actuator and fuel pump etc not to mention a series of visits to the dyno for retuning.

Now I can't be stuffed adding all that up in $$ terms but I'm sure there could be some worthwhile savings for the end user if it were all wrapped up in an attractive 300+rwkw package.

Afterall it worked for APS and I'm sure the first edit tuner to do it would benefit from the professionalism associated with a well thought out and marketed approach to modifying an aussie performance car icon.

Yup, PSISIX is right, you can get a range of all inclusive Cobra kits from Nizpro.

jordak, whilst I'd love to have free reign over my T and mod it as I wished, there are also some of us who have decided to forego the extra performance to be had from Edit by adding the extra goodies you mention to maintain warranties, etc.

Yeh I know and they want over $8,000 for a circa 300rwkw stage 2 package that doesn't include an exhaust.

Point being the same result is being safely achieved by others for half that.

It doesn't have an exhaust because their intake setup is extremely efficient.

All Nizpro kits are now ADR/EPA approved aswell.

You could always just buy an APS kit sell the unichip and then get it edited.

Sounds like good plan Jordak,

surely one of the tuners could come up with a package of say, trans cooler, injectors, dump pipe with hi-flow cat, larger IC, edit & custom tune for around $4000. This combination should be good for around 300rwkw safely. Does this sound feasable or am I dreaming?

A little more than 300rwkw, the stage 2 (with edit) makes the power so easily but because of the stock rods, more like Simon is turning down the power to 330-340rwkw at around 13psi, with a stock exhaust.

This should give safe 300rwkw's and with senible driving should last.

This is what I have got, and has done over 200 Quarter runs and 20000 k's set up like this, and will run 11 sec times with anyone driving. $6550.00
