Hey guys, I was after some advice on the Capa edit, now that the price has come down is it better to buy the box from Capa and then get the custome tune, or should I get the box from the person who will perform the custom tune.

Also who do you guys recommend in the Eastern suburbs of Melb and what should I expect to pay for box and tune.

If you can get a box cheaper than $995 then buy it somewhere else however that may be hard. As far as the tuning goes get it done at either HPF or Nizpro. HPF have the fastest T's in the country, they have also tuned a car with EDIT ONLY (possibly CAI aswell) and it achieved 12.7 on only 8 PSI boost. Which ever tuner you decied im sure you wont be dissapointed. Good luck :spoton:

Miss Aly and I have had ours done at Autotechnique in Rowville. We have had excellent results and Mario makes sure the customer is happy, but im sure who ever you choose to do the edit, you will be more than happy. :spoton:

Deano,

I am in the eastern suburbs and feeling in a particularly generous mood tonight.

If you want a drive of an edited T before you get yours modded, you can have a spin in mine....as long as your careful.

Luke.

I am also looking at the CAPA edit and after reading up on it everyone talks about the potential power gains, noone has mentioned anything about fuel economy. CAPA mention in their ads that it is possible to gain some fuel efficiency, has anyone noticed their fuel consumption change, either up or down since having the edit? Thanks in advance

Downwards change, definately not up :glad:

I lost 50kms a tank with edit, but I cant be sure if its the edit, injectors or both.

I havent heard of anyone gaining good power and achieving better fuel economy. that's the wholly grail :gooff:

MMMM, that's a big call, I dont have edit yet, but I picked up over 3 liter per 100k from the factory setting using bigger injectors and xede.

I know it is only the tune and the factory tune is Way too rich, but it can be done without too much drama, if that is what you want. Granted, if you drive the car hard and use the extra power, you will use more fuel, but if you drive it with some common sense it is achievable.

Last tank through my car, from Armidale, two up, to Gunnedah, then picked up a 4-in-1 bucket of a bobcat, weighs in at 260kg, then home to Newcastle, and a bit of running around the nest two days, total trip 648km, fuel used 62.1 liters.

We were doing averge 130kph between Armidale and Gunnedah and about the same from Gunnedah to Willow Tree, then back on the highway, 110-115.

Not to bad for hauling 2.4 tonne around with 290rwkw.

Back on topic, Sorry.
