I'm thinking bad fuel/filter? mine does similar, but was fine when I took the ford mech for a run, very intermittant, does fuel level make a difference? Can you hear the turbo spooling at 3500 when it seems to do nothing? Maybe you have a bit of a sticky wastegate that takes a while to work, or a problem with the vacuum solenoid. Still, ford should be able to tell this straight away. If they can't find the problem mate see another dealer, they are obviously useless! Yeah, sounds like too much of a definite problem not to have a direct answer like that. Remember, it doesn't matter where you get the warranty stuff done, anywhere in Aus.
