ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! They are taking orders with delivery end sept/oct. The only factory option is the performance pack, but apparently they will be bringing in a few with this option.I think MMAL is not putting up official details up because there are a few Evo8's still in the dealers, but you would think buyers would know the 9 is out. You may be able to pick up a 8 for a runout deal, as the 9 is nearly $2k cheaper. Have you seen a factory Nissan Skyline R33 map, looks pretty much the same, add a simple boost controller and it magnifies it.. I suppose that's what happens when you 'detune' a car to be sold here, and run on 'our' fuel, as opposed to 'retuning' it to run on our fuel and meet our ADR's.. Good to note that even with a retune and 2psi more boost, they ( MRT) can't really 'better' the midrange of the 'detuned' factory mitsubishi, lower in some points, but they do get the lump out..I wouldn't mind seeing a Jap spec Evo 8 dyno graph. They definetely out handle and out perform the XR8 and SS police cars as I was told by the officers that were in the pursuit. So I understand your hatred towards them, like every other police officer...which includes a couple of my mates that are Highway Patrol officers at Wetherill Park. They hate the imports as much as you....reason being the young hoons that disrespect their cars by doing stupid things etc...Sorry Plonky but I am not trying offend you or anyone else...everyone is entitled to their opinion...I would love to have the new M6 but cant afford it quiet yet... I would like an M3 or even a E55 AMG but cant afford a new one as I only like to drive new cars. As for the F6..that was an option but 2 1/2 years with 2 Falcons is enough for me...I change my cars very often and import cars as well and enjoy the benefit of driving something different all the time. They all seem exey for my liking, plus I think the LCT is not included in the prices, so they will be even higher, I might only get the front splitters and the roof cunards and get the rest aftermarket if I want it. I am also a bit disapointed we do not have the tripple gauge option and the head unit does not play MP3's and is a double DIN in size. I have driven many Group A and N Lancers (Eben had a ralliart VR4 Group A car for week once...) These are weapons. They have a great rally heritage. They are just about unbreakable. Some have said its not a refined car. Any car that can run like these cars are very refined and are a lot more perfomance focused than the T. We all know Ford has put some effort into the T but to comare them is a bit tough. If Ford put the same foucs it has as MM into the Evo 8 we would have a GTHO beater. we dont though. the GT isnt even close to these in perfomance. The Evo is a complete package and is designed primarlity to win Group N Rallies. they do this well. It will be a hard car as a daily driver. But it will reward like there is no tomorrow. Good choice. Only lost 10k....not bad! I lost 15k in 15 months....You wont loose that on an an EVo... With the options I am taking delivery first and then getting them added as it is much cheaper. The roof cunards will be my first thing and the suspension is a maybe because I would rather coilovers...As for the triple gauge I will be off to Japan again in 4-5 weeks and I will definetely buy a set. I already have seen them and filmed them at the last Tokyo Autosalon when the car was released and they look awesome. I actually got no extras thanks to the LCT. But will organise to get a few things done today. The head unit doesnt worry me at the moment as I will change it and put a screen in so that I can run my navigation. The blue is nice Zap but black is nice as well. All the colours are really good..It is hard o choose. But being a wog...I had to get yellow...Actually it was my two sons choice....
