Though, there is no 'e' in Lawsy....

But great nontheless. Very creative, very funny.

Love your work!

BUT there should be three 'e's in nonetheless ...

Oh well, you'll always have engineering to fall back on ... if you ever get off the forums and do some study!!!

Twas many a year, since my last Ford,

but an XR6 turbo, was a supercar I could afford.

I sought a Blueprint, two door ute,

'Cause they go like :spoton: , and look so beaut.

I waited for a little while,

to see how she'd do the quarter mile.

The stocky was doin' 14 second times,

but I yearned for better, and saved my dimes.

The auto gearbox, some found to flare...

push more power without mods if you dare.

Those that chased the reliability,

Said a rebuild of the trans was a necessity.

So off I went, and spent my hard earned cash

for a trans built to spec: handle a hard bash.

Once that was done, I visited APS.

And drove out with phase 2, no less.

275 real kilowatts was available,

at the rear wheels in the wet, it meant lots of trouble.

Under power the car would snake and swerve,

and be a real smilemaker through the hilly curve.

But once again I found out too soon,

More power was needed, cause I'm at heart a hoon.

From the forum posts, an intercooler was recomended,

So an APS IC was where my moola was spended.

An additional pump was fitted to provide more fuel,

with 15 psi on tap, I was ready to duel.

With over 400 neddies at the wheels when I need

I headed to AIR, to get my new times and speed.

The first run I ran, a disapointing time I got.

Silly me left it in manual, and gear change I forgot.

The next run was better, a time recorded..

But a 12.8 second was NOT what I ordered.

At the end of the quarter, my ute did achieve

117 mph, a speed hard to believe.

With that level of terminal velocity,

A low 12 second was a definite possibility.

But I'm having to modify my take-off action,

the ute's got issues when it comes to traction.

I also have to give a lot of credit...

to those boys on the track who have the edit.

Everyone says, that Edit's the Go.

more low down torque provided, the ET's show.

So now I search, for a quality dyno tuning soul,

To custom fit the edit, and achieve my goal.

It pleases me to read all manner of posted topic,

from the humourous wit of some, to the tech detail microscopic.

There's so much knowledge, so willingly shared,

And it makes it so much easier for those technically impaired.

This is a site where we all have a say,

And it's good to catch up the goss at the end of the day.

Although having met only just a few of the member

I hope to catch up with more once I get through September.
