Guest xrtwpn Guests Posted 06/09/05 11:18 AM Share Posted 06/09/05 11:18 AM XR6T? I just want one!As for the controversy surrounding legitamcy, it is pretty silly. Everyone knows that power is a product of torque and RPM. If a car is producing more torque at a given rpm, it also has more power at that point. Whilst other engines are traditionally peaky, the XR6T isn't. I.e. it's engine probably has more power down lown and the midrange, whilst it's top end is a little blunter which why it's peak power probably isn't comparable with most hipo motors. Also, the cars weight is somewhat overstated by most. The reality is it is less than 40Kg's heaver than an AU xr8 or LS1 commodore.Just some constructive feedback/idea's, have you considered running 3.73 or lower diff gears? The BA XL utes don't have aircon std, considered loosing the air con for the XL setup? It's amazing how easily these things can really fly. Looking forward to seeing how the 6 speed auto's go too<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Good point the car makes 380rwkw at 3000rpm with just about all of its torque right there also so its not like it has to build up to produce power3:73 if I was using them gears I would run at of rev's if anything I would back the other direction in gears v8's love there 4:11 and so on but turbos seem to like the 3:23 and 3:

For all the doubters, Its not peak power that runs the times but the average horsepower generated throughout the run that is important. As the power curve is undoubtly FAT from 3000rpm, the average horsepower figure would be relatively high.
