XR6T? I just want one!

As for the controversy surrounding legitamcy, it is pretty silly.  Everyone knows that power is a product of torque and RPM.  If a car is producing more torque at a given rpm, it also has more power at that point.  Whilst other engines are traditionally peaky, the XR6T isn't.  I.e. it's engine probably has more power down lown and the midrange, whilst it's top end is a little blunter which why it's peak power probably isn't comparable with most hipo motors.

Also, the cars weight is somewhat overstated by most.  The reality is it is less than 40Kg's heaver than an AU xr8 or LS1 commodore.

Just some constructive feedback/idea's, have you considered running 3.73 or lower diff gears?  The BA XL utes don't have aircon std, considered loosing the air con for the XL setup?  It's amazing how easily these things can really fly.  Looking forward to seeing how the 6 speed auto's go too

Good point the car makes 380rwkw at 3000rpm with just about all of its torque right there also so its not like it has to build up to produce power

3:73 if I was using them gears I would run at of rev's if anything I would back the other direction in gears v8's love there 4:11 and so on but turbos seem to like the 3:23 and 3:07

Watching the video its hard to tell are you running a 3 speed auto like a C4 or still using the 4 speed auto? For all the doubters, Its not peak power that runs the times but the average horsepower generated throughout the run that is important. As the power curve is undoubtly FAT from 3000rpm, the average horsepower figure would be relatively high.

They're saying you time was 9.98 @ 138MPH

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yeh, I asked him nicely, and he lent me the other 6mph, he had it spare, it was only getting him into arguments :spoton:

Was the 9 second run I did Adam

Like everyone magazine and even the new paper non of them seem to be able to get the right figures its quite funny

Tomrrow if all goes well im hoping for more than 144mph ;)

The 138mph run was done at a 8 or 10 psi launch later in the day the had the sh*ts with the shift problems and started doing 15psi launches and the mph was getting bigger and bigger which is when I ran 112 half track and 144mph but the time was a 10 flat with a 1.5 60ft problem was the harder I went the more the shift problem became

Looks like it's all sorted so you will all see this weekend at heathcote for any doubts

Also all the guys from sydney saw it this morning even Brian saw there is NO NOS and still a stock turbo on the car

Sort of sick of justifying myself here cause other workshops doubt it just because they cant do it and they have extra happy dyno readings they bag my car to make them look better

This is for all the drag calc people that doubt the car

Race weight 3500pounds

power just under 800horsepower

now when you look that up you will see 144mph

Cheers

Adam
