There is no need for arquements here, its a ford, it went fast and it making very good power and run very fast. 144 mph is just amazing. Being involved in drag racing for alot of years I can see why ppl are doubting the power figure of your car. Its nothing to be angry about but more a compliment that you and hpf have done such a good job that the car is running so fast.

Eddies car when he ran the 179 mph was making close to 800 rwkw's. Its pretty hard to arque anything but without knowing how much adams car actually weighs but.

Who cares, its bloody fast <_< and congrats

I was told Eddie car was only running 600rwkw when it went down the 1/4 which they were hoping it would help give it traction

I suppose it doesnt matter its still just an insane car

XR6T? I just want one!

As for the controversy surrounding legitamcy, it is pretty silly. Everyone knows that power is a product of torque and RPM. If a car is producing more torque at a given rpm, it also has more power at that point. Whilst other engines are traditionally peaky, the XR6T isn't. I.e. it's engine probably has more power down lown and the midrange, whilst it's top end is a little blunter which why it's peak power probably isn't comparable with most hipo motors.

Also, the cars weight is somewhat overstated by most. The reality is it is less than 40Kg's heaver than an AU xr8 or LS1 commodore.

Just some constructive feedback/idea's, have you considered running 3.73 or lower diff gears? The BA XL utes don't have aircon std, considered loosing the air con for the XL setup? It's amazing how easily these things can really fly. Looking forward to seeing how the 6 speed auto's go too
