I got them to fix the leak on the thermostat housing (fairly common problem) and they did... they replaced the housing altogether. After this I told them about the gearbox whining and grinding and they ordered a new box for me. This came in within 6 weeks and they replaced it for me. After getting the new gearbox I noticed a problem with the exhaust as every time I started the car it would rattle at the back. I also noticed water marks all over the engine bay and a pretty low looking reservoir. So I took it back in the other day and got them to fix the exhaust (I assume it was a rubber loop broken or something) and to see what they could do about the leak. I picked up the car yesterday with a new radiator and hoses and exhaust back where it was supposed to be... good stuff! This is the best bit...I asked the guy if he had any faulty window switches around because my driver's side one was missing a bit of plastic which held the metal contacts in place, but I told him I had modified mine to have the LEDs in it... he said he would see what he could find. When I picked up my car he tells me that they replaced the driver's side switches but left the old ones in the car. So now I have my original set with blue backlights and a Mk II set with white backlights, both in full working order (except for the plastic bit on mine)! For service over and above the call of duty.... give them a buzz at Centre Ford in Northbridge. I've been thinking of changing back to Centre Ford as they're a LOT more convenient and my normal dealer couldn't fit my 30,000 service in on Tuesday as they only had a "0915 slot" and I needed to get the courtesy bus at the only time of 0800.Hopefully CF have improved since I last used them (about 3 years ago).Lightning.... Steve, I though the XRs would have blue lights like the rest of the dash etc. My car has white to go with the rest of the dash lights.
