Ohh I got in first!

The edit, hands down. The Unichip was great for its time, but has been absolutely surpassed by the Edit.

The edit in most cases has produced more peak power, and a fatter, wider torque curve. I would say everyone will agree with this, bar 1.

Nizpro, HPF... There are a few others as well, but start with those 2 tuning shops and you simply cannot go wrong.

They will both produce a similar power curve, and put a similarly massive smile on your face.

You may want to check out APS as well with the Unichip considering you have the APS exhaust. Their goods are of unmatched quality and you can get an engineers certificate to ensure street legality for insurance purposes because their gear is ADR compliant.

They are in melbourne :spoton:

You can also get all of that, but with more power and torque and better drivability with the Edit.

APS zorst and intercooler mixed with nizpro injectors and valve springs + the Edit is probably what you will want to look for.

YOU CAN MIX BRANDS, ITS NOT A SIN.

You have a great zorst, now you can actually utilise its efficiency with the Edit.

PS, stevenP, intune motorsport in castle hill will tune it up for you, under 1400 custom tuned.

Is it autotechnique? I think they are in sydney as well... Can't remember who else is in sydney..

Hi ya...

I am definitely with Lawsy - edit hands down. I had unichip (with the rest of the APS phase II kit on my car - was very good, but my experiences of the edit versus the unichip are:

- smoother power delivery and improved drivability with the edit

- about 35kw more without changing anything other hardware following edit

- greater ability to address functionallity such as increasing rev limit with edit

- marginally better fuel economy with edit vs unichip

I have a unichip and would be happy to sell this reasonably cheap if you would like this option (PM me and we can discuss further if you are interested) - purchased in april. My advice is go with the EDIT however, based on a number of accounts on this forum, I felt that this was the better option. Based on my experiences with both I would say that this is definitely true.

If you want more than 8psi boost, get the car tuned by a good tuner - HPF have done a lot of guys cars on this forum including mine, and I am very happy with the result. Nizpro also have an excellent reputation although I have not dealt with them directly.

If you want high power and you have not already done so, you will need injectors and valve springs as a minimum as well. Both of the above tuners will be able to assist, and if you search these forums you will find what compeditive prices are for these... You may pay a little more at one of the 'good' workshops but...

Finally - there is no reason at all to go down the unichip path just because you have APS kit - there are plenty here with APS gear (myself included) that have replaced the unichip with edit and are very happy with the result.
